In 2010, In transition a young woman named Wanda, on learning 33 years ago that she had contracted HIV. She lived a very disruptive life. In the midst of her transformation from drugs and coming out of prison she was given the opportunity of acceptance at St. Stephen’s Ministry. A transitional house for persons living with HIV and AIDS. Which provided housing and other support. Wanda decided that she wants to give back to the community that she may have caused damage. She founded the Stop Da Stigma Foundation(which is now Stop Our Stigma Foundation Inc.) with her co-founder to bring education, awareness, fundraising for Hiv/Aids, and Mental Health, and assist newly diagnosed persons.
